Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Improving Psychological Wellbeing
Welcome to the home of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This practice is focussed on providing highly qualified professional support for people with a variety of problems/issues. My aim is to enable and empower individuals to resolve their problems bringing about long-term psychological well being and happiness by offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT). My practice is within easy reach of Bedford, Milton Keynes, St. Neots and the surroundings areas. I also take referrals from further afield.
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who is accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). CBT is endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). I provide a safe, supportive environment where you can express your feelings and thoughts in confidence, obtain skills that will help you to resolve your problems/difficulties, and learn ways that will help you think and feel differently about your problems. CBT is not suitable for everyone and for those of you who require help and support to understand and resolve mental health issues/difficulties I offer Psychosocial support (Person centred psychosocial approach).
I usually offer individual therapy, however therapy can include a significant other/carer should you choose for them to be a part of your treatment . Whilst I work with people who have a wide range of problems/needs, I do specialize in therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD). I also work with occupational & employee assistance and can provide medico-legal reports.
I work with individuals for an agreed period of time, however I can work with you on an open-ended basis depending on the nature of your problem and which intervention/approach is deemed more suitable and appropriate, Psychosocial support (Person centred psychosocial approach) can be the alternative intervention with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
